Ivar has 25 years executive experience at the intersection of aquaculture and finance, including senior positions as COO in Grieg Seafood, ASA, CEO in Atlantic Cod Farms, manager in KPMG and partner in Norwegian investment firm Sydvestor AS. Ivar brings hands on operational and financial experience in the aquaculture space.
His intimate experience of the seafood industry extends from fish farming, fisheries to fish farming service vessels which contributes to his deep understanding of the operational challenges.
Moreover, as a native of Volda, Møre og Romsdal, Norway, he was inspired by both the epic landscapes of fjords, mountains combined with the fertility of land and sea to ensure best business and ecological practices are put in place. Naturally, Ivar was therefore inspired to build upon the good work being done by Urchinomics.
